Normally the delaying of the retirement means less job for the younger people and less promotion chance for the other people. For the members of D·R·O·P, our significant financial contributions to the society are not put into saving accounts but they will be spent right way by the charities that received the donations so they will bring in more jobs overall. Everyear about 4.5 million people in U.S. will retire. Assume 1% will become our member every year, for average 4 years with annual donation of $60,000 then four years later, the annual donation by our members will reach more than 10 billion dollars to the economy. It should able to creat more than 45,000 entry level jobs.
With decades of experience and high work ethics our members will also contribute greatly to the company they work for and society in whole which will also create jobs. The resulted delayed promotions for many younger people until they are more ready should be a good thing for them and their company or the society in the long run.
If this Movement become somewhat popularized, it will become a refreshing stream and it will be our sincere effort against the deterioration of people's morals and our young generations will able to live in a more harmonized world.
My experience with my relatives and close friends indicated to me that it is very difficult to get eligible people to become a member of this Movement. The number of our member joining every year I believe will be no more than 1% of the people reaching retirement age every year, that is 45,000 a year. The total people employed in 2008 for U.S. is 138 million. Therefore the effect of this Movement for the whole job market will be negligible if any.
